Science EXPO!!

On Wednesday the 19th of August, the grade six students are having a science expo for everyone to come and watch. The children are going to make something that shows change and must have a chemical or natural reaction. On the science day you will not be seeing volcanos or slime because they are too boring. Instead you will be seeing much more exciting stuff. You will be seeing things that smoke, bubble, even bounce and lots more fantastic things, so be prepared for a great expo.

School Athletics Day

In week four, it is House Athletics Day.

All the kids from R.P.S will wear their house colours and compete in many different sports such as high jump, long jump, sprint, B00m run, shot-put, discus and even hop skip and jump!

The winners of these sports then go off to compete in a competition called District, if they win the District then they can go even further!

Grade 3 kids help the animals

Grade 3 children in association with bunnings had the job of constructing 20 nesting boxes. These were designed to be a substitute for the animals and birds in the bushfire areas, that had lost all their habitat. We hope they are able to nest and breed so that they can continue to live in the area. It is interesting that since the fires, we have seen yellow tailed black cockatoos in Rosebud for the first time ever...this is evidence that they have migrated from the fire area looking for new habitat.

Tee Ball at Truemans Rd

The Tee ball team went and played at Truemens Road. It was fun even though we lost every game.
Best Players for the day were Ethan Dean, Pete and Paige, who all took spectacular catches.
The funniest part was when Pete hit the ball at my head, and I ducked just in time and it missed me. Even better we got a home run out of it. By the end of the day we all had a great time, and learnt a lot about Tee Ball. Hopefully a few of us might get down and play Baseball for the Boneo Braves. Peter made 6 home runs, Ethan made 2, Brianna made 4, Dean made one. It was really pleasing to see such wonderful sports person ship from the Rosebud Kids in particular Brianna, Maddi, Maddy, Krista, Sarah, Caleb, Hamish and Zac.
